Indication: CaroSpir (Spironolactone) is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), edema (fluid retention) associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and nephrotic syndrome, and hypokalemia (low potassium levels).

Mechanism of Action: CaroSpir (Spironolactone) works by blocking the actions of aldosterone, a hormone that regulates salt and water balance in the body, leading to increased excretion of sodium and water while conserving potassium.
