Indication: Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate) is prescribed for the treatment of infertility in women due to ovulatory dysfunction, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), anovulation, or irregular menstrual cycles.

Class: It belongs to the class of medications known as selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs).

Mechanism of Action: Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate) works by blocking estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, leading to increased secretion of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH), which stimulate ovulation.
