Indication: Atropine Sulfate is prescribed for the treatment of bradycardia (slow heart rate), preoperative medication to reduce salivation and bronchial secretions, and as a mydriatic (pupil dilator) for ophthalmic examinations.

Class: It belongs to the class of medications known as anticholinergics.

Mechanism of Action: Atropine Sulfate works by competitively inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors, leading to increased heart rate, bronchodilation, reduced secretion of saliva and bronchial mucus, and dilation of the pupil.

Formulation: Available in solution and ointment forms for ophthalmic administration, as well as injection and oral forms.
